Dear Colleagues:

I am writing to let you know about a week of CME/CE conferences on AI/AN health taking place just 2 blocks from each other in Oklahoma City the week of August 4-9:

  *   ACOG Best Practices in Women’s Health: Focus on AI/AN Women’s Health Conference: August 4-6.
     *   8/4: Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) course, 8/5: Women’s Health update, 8/6: ASAM Buprenorphine Waiver Course

  *   IHS 2019 Diabetes in Indian Country Conference: August 6-9

The conference will host 1,500 IHS, Tribal and Urban Indian (I/T/U) providers, clinicians, Tribal leaders, community members, and Special Diabetes Program for Indians grantees.

     *   Pre-conference sessions (August 6) will include a full day “Advances in Primary Care” general clinical update organized by the IHS National Council of Chief Clinical Consultants.
        *   Plenaries & workshops on many topics related to the primary care of AI/AN patients
        *   Half-day intensive sessions on Geriatrics/Palliative Care and Foot Care
     *   Conference sessions (August 7-9) will focus on diabetes treatment and prevention, social determinants of health, nutrition and food sovereignty, cultural approaches, use of data to improve care, and much more.  CME/CE sessions will be offered throughout the conference.
     *   Livestreaming option: Conference plenaries and selected workshops will be livestreamed with CME/CE credits available.
     *   There is no cost to attend this conference in-person or via streaming, including CME/CE credits.
