Hello all,
See below for a terrific opportunity for Tribes to partner with an experienced researcher to adapt an evidence-based program to support caregivers for their Tribe or community. Please follow-up directly with Dr. Nichols if you have interest.
>
> Below is a grant announcement through NIH to fund organizations to implement interventions to assist caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's. Linda Nichols from the Memphis Veterans Administration is interested in partnering with a tribal organization or supporting a tribal organization in its application for this funding opportunity testing the REACH model caregiver intervention in Indian Country. She IS NOT restricted to partnering with a tribe within her state.
>
> The VA has been working with the REACH model caregiver intervention for about 10 years. The entire VA system recently adopted this intervention nationwide. Dr. Linda Nichols (VA) was one of the original investigators for the NIA-funded REACH project. She is now expanding to Indian Country.
>
> Linda works at the VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN.
