Uniting Nursing Homes in Tribal Excellence (UNITE) is a Native American organization that coordinates a collaborative group of tribal stakeholders to network, provide best-practices, promote evidence-based education/training, and quality improvement initiatives. While UNITE began with a focus on tribal nursing homes, it has expanded its scope to include all home and community based services (HCBS) as well as long-term services and supports (LTSS).UNITE supports 18 tribal organization in five regions and twelve states as well as many tribal programs of HCBS. The project activities will result in the expansion and improvement of healthcare for community elders, the disabled, SNF and assisted living residents (AL), and recipients of home and community based services (HCBS).

LeadingAge is a national member association that represents a diverse group of nonprofit aging services providers who care and support older adults both in residential settings as well in the home and community, including nursing homes. LeadingAge members, many who are rooted in faith-based traditions, believe that all older adults deserve to age with dignity and respect, wherever they call home.

Recently, LeadingAge and UNITE entered into a partnership that celebrates their respective passions for serving and supporting elders. In collaboration, the two organizations will share knowledge and expertise, focus on quality improvement initiatives, and network with a wide variety of providers across aging services.

The first opportunity to come together is during the fall at LeadingAge’s Annual Meeting & EXPO. Here, UNITE members will be treated to several special components including:
·         Networking Opportunities - a welcome room at the San Diego Convention Center
·         Dedicated block of hotel rooms - at the Kimpton Hotel Solomar, specifically designated for UNITE attendees
·         Keynote VIP section - designated seating in the Keynote sessions
·         UNITE meeting - on Sunday, lunch details to follow
·         UNITE booth - in the EXPO hall on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
·         UNITE registration - expedited registration line and special badge credentials

This is a great time to get to know our new friends at LeadingAge—more than 7,000 people are expected to be in attendance.

You may bypass the login— simply register using the attendee online registration form<https://www.mylibralounge.com/sites/laannual2019/attendee/>. Remember to select the UNITE code when registering (subject to verification and approval).
Book Your Hotel Now:
Continue to the hotel screen. There is a special block of rooms for UNITE. Enter your check in/out dates and use group code: EH6X5D to reserve the Kimpton Hotel Solomar. It may indicate that the hotel is sold out, however your group code will override that. Simply click ‘Book’ to advance to the next screen. Enter in a credit card to authorize your room reservation.
It may take a few days for final approval of your ‘UNITE’ registration before you can expect an e-mail confirmation.
