The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in partnership with the Indian Health Service is pleased to host a webinar entitled Medicare Part D on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm, ET.
This webinar will provide an overview of Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D), highlight updates and changes for the upcoming open enrollment period – beginning October 15.
The webinar will specifically focus on what Medicare (Part D) plans cover, how the plans work with Indian health programs and how to sign up. If you get prescription drugs through an Indian Health pharmacy, you pay nothing and your coverage will not be interrupted. Getting Medicare does not affect your ability to get services through the Indian Health Service, tribal health or urban Indian health programs. Once you enroll in Part D, your Indian health program can bill the plan for your prescription drugs and use that money to expand services for your community. CMS subject matter experts will be available to answer your questions.
